About Frying Squad
We're a mobile fish and chip shop. That sentence doesn't sound exciting until you've had our twice-fried chips (blanched, rested, fried again — crispy outside, fluffy inside) with a piece of sustainably sourced cod in a beer batter that shatters when you bite it. We serve on proper paper, with curry sauce, mushy peas, tartare sauce, and pickled onions. It's traditional, it's comforting, and it makes people irrationally happy. We've done everything from black-tie corporate events (fish and chips in evening wear is surprisingly classy) to school fêtes where we served 300 portions and ran out of nothing.
