About Momo Mama
Momos are Nepal's gift to the world and we're here to spread the gospel. Our dumplings are hand-pleated (25 pleats per momo — yes, we count), filled with spiced chicken, pork, or vegetables, and served steamed or fried with our fiery tomato achar that's made from a recipe Sita's grandmother brought from Kathmandu. For events, we set up a steaming station with towers of bamboo baskets — the steam, the smell, the drama of lifting the lid — it's street food theatre at its best. We also do thukpa (Nepali noodle soup) for winter events and a pan-fried momo that's crispy on the bottom and juicy on top.
