About Scoops & Ladders
We make ice cream the old way — Jersey cream, free-range eggs, British sugar, and whatever's good at the market. Our flavours change with the seasons: blood orange in winter, Kentish strawberry in summer, and a year-round salted caramel that has a near-religious following. We don't use stabilisers or artificial colours — if the pistachio is green, it's because we used a lot of pistachios. The van (Barbara) is a 1969 Bedford CF in powder blue, and she draws a crowd wherever she parks. We do weddings, garden parties, and school fêtes — anywhere people want to feel like it's a sunny Saturday afternoon.
