The Yorkshire puddings made on a BOAT. I can't explain how charming this is.

A canal boat roast dinner for our anniversary. Most unique dining experience we've ever had.

About The Gravy Boat

We cook Sunday roasts on a narrowboat called The Gravy Boat and serve them dockside. The boat has a full kitchen — we roast whole chickens, shoulders of lamb, and our famous beef sirloin on board, carve them at a serving station on the towpath, and plate up with Yorkshire puddings (risen high, crunchy edges), roast potatoes (goose fat, obviously), seasonal veg, and proper gravy made from the roasting tray. It's surreal and charming and smells incredible from 50 metres away. We moor up wherever you need us — canal-side venues, pub gardens near the water, even private moorings. If you've got a canal, we've got Sunday lunch.
